Qualification Details for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the GDS Recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board of school education and should have studied the local language at least upto 10th standard.
Other Qualification: Knowledge of computer & cycling and Adequate means of livelihood.

Age Criteria for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025
Age will be determined as on March 3, 2025 which is also the last date of submission of online Application.
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Relaxation in upper Age limit are mentioned below
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC: 3 years.
- PwD: 10 years.
- PwD + OBC: 13 years.
- PwD + SC/ST: 15 years.
Salary details for India Post GDS 2025
The initial engagement of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) is based on the following TRCA (Time-Related Continuity Allowance) slabs:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 29,380 per month.
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 24,470 per month.
GDSs are also entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA) as declared by the Government of India. Additionally, they receive benefits like GDS Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme (akin National Pension System applicable to regular employees). The applicants will be shortlisted based on a merit list, which will be prepared on the basis of marks they obtained in their 10th standard Secondary School Examination.
In case of tie , the merit list will be determined based on the following priority order:
