Initially, 201 posts were advertised, but the number was revised to 186 vacancies. The posts are distributed across various districts including Kupwara (20 posts), Jammu (8 posts), Kathua (13 posts), Baramulla (16 posts), Rajouri (14 posts), Samba (12 posts), Budgam (6 posts), Ganderbal (7 posts), Poonch (9 posts), Reasi (10 posts), Kishtwar (11 posts), Pulwama (8 posts), Anantnag (12 posts), Kulgam (11 posts), Bandipora (6 posts), Doda (8 posts), Shopian (5 posts), Ramban (4 posts), and Udhampur (6 posts).

JKSSB Supervisor Post Details Check
The recruitment process began with an OMR based examination conducted on June 23, 2024 and the results were announced on July 9, 2024. Candidates with specialization in Home Science, Child Development or Sociology were given preference and an opportunity to claim additional 05 marks. The Social Welfare Department clarified that only candidates who studied these subjects as a core area throughout their course would be eligible for the additional marks. Those who studied these subjects for a semester or two as part of a broader curriculum were excluded.

JKSSB Supervisor Social Welfare Provisional Selection List
The document verification was conducted at both Jammu and Srinagar. The committee prepared the Provisional Selection List, which was approved during the 296th Board Meeting on February 3, 2025.
